Parents are the first teachers of their children. The school respects its role as the educational partner of each child’s parents. As the first teacher of their child, parents are encouraged and in fact expected to follow their educational progress carefully. This means that conversations with their child about classroom activities, homework assignments, projects and tests should be a regular, preferably daily experience.
Where there are questions or concerns, parents should contact their child’s teacher to seek explanation or clarification. School visits for face to face conversations are often the best way to address these questions or concerns.
When necessary parents should feel free to arrange to speak to the School Principal directly.
In turn, the classroom teacher or the School Principal will contact the parents whenever there is a need to discuss matters related to student success.
